A number of congressional Republicans mentioned they have been dedicated to a peaceable election course of and switch of energy if Democrats win the White Home, sooner or later after President Trump declined to take action.
Throughout a news conference Wednesday, Mr. Trump was requested if he would decide to a peaceable switch whether or not he received or misplaced in November. “Effectively, we’re going to need to see what occurs,” he responded. “I’ve been complaining very strongly concerning the ballots. The ballots are uncontrolled.”
Pressed on the query, the president mentioned, “Do away with the ballots and…we’ll have a really peaceable—there received’t be a switch. Frankly, there’ll be a continuation.”
Democrats rapidly criticized the president for his remarks, and several other Republicans did so Thursday as properly—with out instantly mentioning Mr. Trump.
